The Old Rifle Range & Underground Norwich Tour
Beneath Upper St Giles is a vast underground chamber, long hidden from public view. Originally built in the 1700s as a merchant’s wine cellar, it later echoed with gunfire as a concealed rifle range beneath the city streets. Sealed off for decades, it is now being readied to welcome visitors once again.

Second World War bunker found in Prince of Wales Road car park

Another sinkhole has opened up in Norwich

The space on Upper St Giles Street is accessed by the ground floor – via a pathway to the side of a block of flats – with steps down to the main area, which is roughly 27 metres long.
