Augustine Steward House Undercroft – NUMBER 14 TOMBLAND


The house above the undercroft was built for Augustine Steward, possibly in 1549.

The rear range of the house has a stone undercroft with one side chamber with a four-centred profile that extends beneath the pavement.

It was used for storage and is now an art gallery.
