NUMBER 48 ST GILES STREET
The house above the undercroft was built in the late 1790s and was for many years owned by the YMCA. It has been converted into luxury flats.
There is a brick undercroft dating from the 15th century under the front part of the building.
It consists of two bays with heavy double order quadripartite ribs. It has been much adapted for use as a modern cellar but is in quite good condition.
Access is from within the building through the 19th century cellars.
